| With a growing number of Mandarin speakers, Hong Kong served as EBC¡¦s first branching out point. More than 1.3 million residents of the SAR can watch ETTV channels over cable
systems operated by I-Cable, HongKong Broadband Network, and TVB Payvision as well as through IPTV provider Now TV.
ETTV's
Hong Kong news bureau provides reports for viewers worldwide. Macau
residents are served by Macau Cable Television (MCTV).
In South Korea, ETTV is available to more than 2.5 million CJ Cable, Areum Broadcasting Network and KT subsicribers.
In the Philippines 137,000 cable subscribers can
watch ETTV channels on cable networks operated by Global Cable
and through coordination with the Philippines Cable Television
Association.
In Malaysia, Astro All Asia Networks subscribers can view ETTV Asia as part of basic cable until May 31, 2007. Thereafter, the channel will be available as a premium offering.
ETTV reporters are stationed in Thailand, with viewers there served by the Thai Cable Company. In addition, EBC operates a Thai-language channel - ETTV Thailand - with some 2.5 million viewers. Cambodia Cable and Phnom Penh
Cable provide ETTV options for Cambodian residents and StarHub
began serving Singaporean cable watchers with ETTV programming
in late November, 2004.
Indonesian DHT subscribers are served up ETTV programming via
I-Sky Net, while Japanese DHT subscribers go through TWI. |
